Identities For Life And Death: Can We Save Us From Our Toxically-Storied Selves? This book is all about stories. The stories that shape our identities and how those identities shape our destinies for better or worse, for good or evil, in humanizing or dehumanizing ways. Working from the Shakespearian metaphor, "All the world's a stage and all the men and women merely players" Pellegrini argues that only by understanding how our storied selves develop can we acquire the tools to modify the roles they dictate for us to play on the stage in the theater of real life. The author deconstructs a wide variety of what he calls "toxic" dehumanizing, death-oriented self-scripts as well as "creative" humanizing, life-oriented narratives of both individuals and groups. Following the Native American folklore parable of two wolves engaged in mortal combat within us, one good the other evil, the fundamental premise here is that our identity determines which of our inner wolves we feed and thus, which of them will prevail. Pellegrini maintains that what's at stake in this battle between humanity's collective inner wolves is not just the quality but the very survival of life on earth. From this perspective, as individual and group selves are humanizingly or dehumanizingly narratized, so shall life be impacted throughout the world. To advance the cause of "detoxifying" identities in our globalized society, the author presents a rationale and program for an international grass roots social movement aimed at achieving a universal sense of belongingness to a "global life system"

Duped America: How Democrats And The Mainstream Media Have Duped The American People And Are Harming Our Country

What makes Duped America so different from other political books?

Most political books cover one or two topics. Duped America contains all the information you need about every important issue facing America today.

Author Richard Bernstein, a former lifelong Democrat, organized this masterpiece of 31 easy-to-read chapters, each explaining how the Democrat Party and mainstream media allies repeatedly attempt to dupe Americans. Duped America has almost 1,000 thoroughly researched footnotes, and puts all the facts in one place:

- Next time your friends tell you Bush lied to get us into the Iraq war, you'll be able to tell them about the investigations demanded by Democrats that proved otherwise (chapter 3).

- When they insist Republicans caused the mortgage crisis, and their deregulation caused the financial crisis, you'll be able to prove otherwise (chapters 6 and 7).

- Next time you hear that the Democrats are the party looking out for black Americans, you'll be able to tell them why that isn't true and why Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican (chapter 13).

- Next time you hear Republicans are the party of Wall Street and large corporate money, you'll be able to refute that misconception (chapter 10).

- When your friends tell you Bill Clinton created a great economy, you'll be able to explain how it was the Republican Congress and other factors unrelated to Bill Clinton's policies that helped make the '90s economically prosperous (chapter 11).

- After reading Chapter 22 you'll understand why the green jobs agenda is a sham and will actually cause jobs to be lost.

- You'll learn why wind and solar won't work on a national scale (chapter 16), who has been holding back nuclear power in this country (chapter 17), and why Democrat policies will make energy less available and more expensive (chapter 15).

- Duped America will thoroughly explain to you the science, politics and money behind the global warming scam (chapter 14).

- Duped America exposes Barack Obama's radical past and his radical appointees (chapter 27), the influence of radical Saul Alinsky on him (chapter 29), and how Democrats are attempting to stifle dissent and manipulate the election process (chapter 28).

- After reading chapter 1 you'll understand in detail how the Democrat Party has been dangerous to our national security over the past 40 years. Chapters 25 and 26 will show you how Democrat policies today are making us more vulnerable to our enemies.

- Next time your friends tell you that the special interest groups of the Republican Party are harming our country, you'll be able to explain how unholy alliances between Democrats and their special interests (unions, plaintiffs' lawyers, environmentalists and more) are resulting in bad policies that are harming our country (chapter 21).

- You'll also be armed with the facts to explain why Keynesian economic models using large amounts of government money to stimulate the economy (advocated by Democrats) have never worked and what has worked in the past (chapter 19).

- Duped America will explain in detail the six fatal flaws of the Stimulus Bill of 2009 and how Obamanomics is a roadmap to fiscal ruin (chapters 20 and 18).

- When your friends tell you that ObamaCare will be good for this country, you'll be able to explain with clarity the reasons why it will decimate our health care system and further bankrupt our country (chapter 31).

Bernstein believes that a well informed public is the best antidote to the onslaught of propaganda and has worked hard to warn his fellow Americans.

Eighteen Insights That Help Define Barack Obama in the 2008 Presidential Campaign: Recollections of an Historical Campaign and Related Events This thoroughly researched and well documented narrative carefully examines eighteen topics that help define the character and political goals of Barack Obama as he competes in the 2008 Presidential contest. Amazingly, many of the findings presented have not been evaluated in the main stream media. Subjects analyzed include Obama's relationship with Raila Odinga and the ethnic cleansing that followed Odinga's Presidential loss in Kenya, Obama's many links to the Nation of Islam and Louis Farrakhan, Obama's socialist and radical background and his corresponding agenda for America, Obama's support for a stronger United Nations and a weaker United States through Senate resolutions introduced by him, Obama's subtle support for Hamas and his multiple efforts to advance Iranian interests in the Middle East, Obama's numerous radical Arab contacts and advisors which will put Israel in more harm's way, Obama's critical views on America and its faith, Obama's political and logistic objectives to weaken America and render her less able to fight the war on terrorism, Obama's assault on free speech, and the violent individuals that surround him who help advance his radical political goals. Much of the presentation is based on direct quotes, speeches, and excerpts from written documents that help critically and independently define Obama's view of the world and possible future plans. "Eighteen Insights ..." may become the standard reference that reflects an independent and objective evaluation of the many facets of Obama's political philosophies and goals, which may radically alter America's role in world politics, along with the socioeconomic framework of our country. This presentation is mandatory reading for anyone seeking a thorough understanding of Barack Obama.

Progressive Dystopia We are at a crossroads in our nations history and presented with two distinct choices; liberty or tyranny. We either believe in American exceptionalism and the founding priciple that man can rule himself. Or we choose a style of governance that centrally plans our very existence. We either believe in the principles espoused by Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Franklin, et al . . . or we believe in the principles espoused by Marx, Engels, Bismarck, Lenin, et al . . . Following The Constituional Convention, Benjamin Franklin said we have a Republic if we can keep it. A warning against apathy and a call to arms that freedom requires eternal vilignace. Reagan planted his flag and asked, if not us who, if not now, when? We are presented with a choice, between a style of government whereby the power is derived from the people and a style of government that usurps all power from the governed. Progressivism is a villianous perfidy and a style of government completely anithetical to our founding principles.

Chasing Glenn Beck: A Personal Experiment in Reclaiming Our Hijacked Political Conversation Not all that long ago, Glenn Beck went on the air and suggested that if we hadn't collectively done such a poor job of following the Ten Commandments, then perhaps our angry and vengeful God wouldn't have slaughtered the innocents in Japan, where a recent tsunami had devastated large stretches of seacoast. "There's a message being sent," he told us while his radio sidekicks laughed. Many found his comments offensive. The Twitterverse was awash with commentary on Beck's commentary, and Michael Charney wanted his voice heard, too. An unusual experiment began, its goal to convince people that Beck wasn't what he seemed to be at all, but was, instead, just an actor playing a part.... A Twitter persona emerged--@BeckIsALib--and began to launch odd little ideas into the virtual world: Glenn Beck is an actor. Glenn Beck believes in global warming. Glenn Beck cares about animals and the environment. And, most importantly: Glenn Beck--and others like him--are not us. If we continue to let the loudest voices define us then we risk no less than the loss of our truest visions for democracy: equality, fairness through compromise and the right to be heard--and represented.

Who Is Glenn Beck and Should I Be Worried? A Biography of the Voice of the Conservative Right Glenn Beck is best known for his acerbic wit and turn of speech on the Fox News Channel. He has risen from obscurity and overcome several personal tragedies to host his own talk-radio show, heard three hours a day by both adoring and abhorring audiences across the United States.

His “pull you up by your own bootstraps” philosophy has attracted a group of devoted followers who look to him for guidance on political issues ranging from social welfare to military spending. On the other hand, his aggressive, often offensive delivery style has created an equally large group of detractors who accused him of everything from being a conspiracy theorist to a fascist. Not surprisingly, the more people argue, the more popular and profitable he becomes.

But what is the real story behind Glen Beck, and should you be afraid? This short biography will tell you what you need to know.

Killing Lincoln: The Shocking Assassination that Changed America Forever

A riveting historical narrative of the heart-stopping events surrounding the assassination of Abraham Lincoln, and the first work of history from mega-bestselling author Bill O'Reilly

The anchor of The O'Reilly Factor recounts one of the most dramatic stories in American history—how one gunshot changed the country forever. In the spring of 1865, the bloody saga of America's Civil War finally comes to an end after a series of increasingly harrowing battles. President Abraham Lincoln's generous terms for Robert E. Lee's surrender are devised to fulfill Lincoln's dream of healing a divided nation, with the former Confederates allowed to reintegrate into American society. But one man and his band of murderous accomplices, perhaps reaching into the highest ranks of the U.S. government, are not appeased.

In the midst of the patriotic celebrations in Washington D.C., John Wilkes Booth—charismatic ladies' man and impenitent racist—murders Abraham Lincoln at Ford's Theatre. A furious manhunt ensues and Booth immediately becomes the country's most wanted fugitive. Lafayette C. Baker, a smart but shifty New York detective and former Union spy, unravels the string of clues leading to Booth, while federal forces track his accomplices. The thrilling chase ends in a fiery shootout and a series of court-ordered executions—including that of the first woman ever executed by the U.S. government, Mary Surratt. Featuring some of history's most remarkable figures, vivid detail, and page-turning action, Killing Lincoln is history that reads like a thriller.

INTRODUCTION
The sniper has special abilities, training and equipment. His job is to deliver discriminatory highly accurate rifle fire against enemy targets, which cannot be engaged successfully by the rifleman because of range, size, location, fleeting nature, or visibility. Sniping requires the development of basic infantry skills to a high degree of perfection. A sniper's training incorporates a wide variety of subjects designed to increase his value as a force multiplier and to ensure his survival on the battlefield. The art of sniping requires learning and repetitiously practicing these skills until mastered. A sniper must be highly trained in long-range rifle marksmanship and field craft skills to ensure maximum effective engagements with minimum risk.

With this collection of sermons, Dr. Michael Bledsoe of Riverside Baptist Church in Washington DC, Adjunct Professor at Howard University School of Divinity, confronts Glenn Beck's assertions about liberal churches and the proclamation of social justice. This collection spans over a decade of sermons that speak to the inclusion of homosexuals as full human beings in our churches ("These Scars, God's Grace"), the contagion of violence promulgated through right wing radio ("Violence is Contagious") and, of course, the infamous Beckian call for people to leave churches that proclaim social justice ("Dear Mr. Beck"). No matter which side of the political spectrum you find yourself, these sermons will be of interest to you for they do not hide from confrontation. Indeed, they are rooted within a profound respect of scripture and offer a withering critique of what passes for church in America today.

Broke: The Plan to Restore Our Trust, Truth and Treasure

THE FACTS.

THE FUTURE.

THE FIGHT TO FIX AMERICA—

BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE.

In the words of Harvard historian Niall Ferguson, the United States is “an empire on the edge of chaos.” Why? Glenn Beck thinks the answer is pretty simple: Because we’ve turned our backs on the Constitution.

Yes, our country is financially broke, but that’s just a side effect of our broken spirit, our broken faith in government, the broken promises by our leaders, and a broken political system that has centralized power at the expense of individual rights.

There is a lot of work ahead, but we can’t move forward until we first understand how we got here. Starting with the American Revolution, Glenn takes readers on an express train through 234 years of history, culminating with the Great Recession and the bipartisan recklessness of Presidents Bush and Obama. It’s the history lesson we all wished we’d had in school. (Did you know, for example, that FDR once made a key New Deal policy decision based on his lucky number?)

Along the way, you’ll see how everything you thought you knew about the political parties is a lie, how Democrats and Republicans alike used to fight for minimum government and maximum freedom, and how both parties have been taken over by a cancer called “progressivism.” By the end, you’ll understand why no president, no congress and no court can fix this problem alone. Looking toward them for answers is like looking toward the ocean for drinking water— it looks promising, but the end result is catastrophic.

After revealing the trail of lies that brought us here, Broke exposes the truth about what we’re really facing. Most people have seen pieces of the puzzle, but very few have ever seen the whole picture—and for very good reason: Our leaders have done everything in their power to hide it. If Americans understood how dire things really are, they would be demanding radical reform right now. Despite the rhetoric, that’s not the kind of change our politicians really believe in.

Finally, Broke provides the hope that comes with knowing the truth. Once you see what we’re really up against, it’s much easier to develop a realistic plan. To fix ourselves financially, Glenn argues, we have to fix ourselves first. That means some serious introspection and, ultimately, a series of actions that will unite all Americans around the concept of shared sacrifice. After all, this generation may not be asked to storm beaches, but we are being asked to do something just as critical to preserving freedom.

Packed with great stories from history, chalkboard-style teachable moments, custom illustrations, and Glenn Beck’s trademark combination of entertainment and enlightenment, Broke makes the case that when you’re traveling in the wrong direction, slight course corrections won’t cut it—you need to take drastic action. Through a return to individual rights, an uncompromising adherence to the Constitution, and a complete rethinking about the role of government in a free society, Glenn exposes the idea of “transformation” for the progressive smokescreen that it is, and instead builds a compelling case that restoration is the only way forward.

The 7: Seven Wonders That Will Change Your Life Radio and television host Glenn Beck has experienced the rollercoaster of life like few others.  From the suicide of his mother when he was just thirteen, to his eventual alcoholism, depression, divorce, unemployment, and health scares—Glenn has weathered life’s darkest storms.

Any one of those struggles could’ve ruined him, yet Glenn was able to keep moving forward.  He saw past the darkness into the light; past his grief and addictions and into what his life could be.

YOU CAN DO IT TOO

The process of finding happiness through personal redemption was not easy, but it left Glenn with a blueprint for how to confront future adversity.  Glenn is living proof that these steps—he calls them wonders—don’t just work on paper.  They helped transform his life and can they can help to transform yours as well.

THE 7 WONDERS

Glenn Beck and Dr. Keith Ablow—two of the most popular and influential personalities in American media today—have joined forces to present a powerful guide to personal transformation and fulfillment that is as unique as their own unlikely partnership.  They are called the “7 Wonders” and they can be used by anyone who has made the decision that they are ready to change their life.

After the television talk show host and the bestselling psychiatrist struck up a fast friendship they realized that their experiences with life’s struggles were complementary.  What Keith had studied, Glenn had lived.  What Keith had counseled patients on for years, Glenn had suffered through for decades.

The deeply personal insights they shared brought them to realize that their life stories had seven key principles in common; seven wonders that seemed to be essential ingredients for anyone attempting to transform their life.

Where does the courage to persevere come from when everything seems hopeless? Why is it nearly impossible to succeed without faith?  How much do family and friendships matter in our journey? How do we break down our walls and reveal our inner truths? What does having compassion really mean? How do you tell real friends apart from those who are holding you back? If there’s no one to blame for my past, what do you do with your anger and resentment?

These kinds of questions are the starting point toward fundamentally changing how you view past damaging relationships, toward breaking the debilitating grip of addiction and depression, toward injecting life with new meaning and purpose and toward helping you embark on a new journey based on hope, strength, and personal empowerment.

As you unwrap each of the seven wonders for yourself, you’ll discover exactly what Glenn Beck found as he transformed his own life from darkness to light, from dead ends to endless possibilities, from addiction to freedom: it doesn’t take a superhero to find the strength to change—it just takes the courage to take the first step.

This book, which was only possible by combining together decades of personal struggle with world-class professional experience, can be that first step for you.

The 7 Wonders grows out of a unique friendship that we’ve developed over the last five-years. It is unique because it brought together a psychiatrist who naturally burrows toward the truth, and a recovering addict who spent decades running from it.

As we spent more time together we began to let our guards down.  Over time we reached a level of honesty with each other that is rare.  As a result, we learned that the principles that have guided the well-honed healing techniques of one of us are precisely the same principles that instinctively guided the other to replace nearly unbearable pain with genuine happiness.

We believe that it was God’s plan for us to meet; that it was God’s plan for us to speak so openly with one another; and it was God’s plan that we share with you the seven wonders we discovered together.

We also firmly believe that it was God’s plan that this book now finds you at this exact moment in your life.

The Original Argument: The Federalists' Case for the Constitution, Adapted for the 21st Century Glenn Beck revisited Thomas Paine’s famous pre-Revolutionary War call to action in his #1 New York Times bestseller Glenn Beck’s Common Sense. Now he brings his historical acumen and political savvy to this fresh, new interpretation of The Federalist Papers, the 18th-century collection of political essays that defined and shaped our Constitution and laid bare the “original argument” between states’ rights and big federal government--a debate as relevant and urgent today as it was at the birth of our nation.

Adapting a selection of these essential essays--pseudonymously authored by the now well-documented triumvirate of Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay--for a contemporary audience, Glenn Beck has had them reworked into “modern” English so as to be thoroughly accessible to anyone seeking a better understanding of the Founding Fathers’ intent and meaning when laying the groundwork of our government. Beck provides his own illuminating commentary and annotations and, for a number of the essays, has brought together the viewpoints of both liberal and conservative historians and scholars, making this a fair and insightful perspective on the historical works that remain the primary source for interpreting Constitutional law and the rights of American citizens.

An Inconvenient Book: Real Solutions to the World's Biggest Problems

Now available in trade paperback, the #1 bestselling New York Times author Glenn Beck tackles some of our country’s biggest problems in this funny, outrageous, and entertaining book.

Glenn Beck believes that the reason why some of our biggest problems never seem to get fixed is simple: the solutions just aren’t very convenient. And as the host of a nationally syndicated radio show and a prime-time television show on CNN Headline News, Glenn Beck doesn’t care much about convenience; he cares about common sense.

Take the issue of poverty, for example. Over the last forty years, America’s poorest cities all had one simple thing in common, but politicians will never reveal what that is (or explain how easy it would be to change). Global warming is another issue that’s rife with lies and distortion. How many times have we heard that carbon dioxide is responsible for huge natural disasters that have killed millions of people? The truth is, it’s actually the other way around: as CO2 has increased, deaths from extreme weather have decreased. But that would never be shown in an Al Gore slide show.

Combining honesty with a biting sense of humor, An Inconvenient Book contains hundreds of these "why have I never heard that before?" types of facts that will leave readers wondering how political correctness, special interests, and outright stupidity have gotten us so far away from the common sense solutions this country was built on.

Being George Washington: The Indispensable Man, as You've Never Seen Him IF YOU THINK YOU KNOW GEORGE WASHINGTON, THINK AGAIN.

This is the amazing true story of a real-life superhero who wore no cape and possessed no special powers—yet changed the world forever. It’s a story about a man whose life reads as if it were torn from the pages of an action novel: Bullet holes through his clothing. Horses shot out from under him. Unimaginable hardship. Disease. Heroism. Spies and double-agents. And, of course, the unmistakable hand of Divine Providence that guided it all.

Being George Washington is a whole new way to look at history. You won’t simply read about the awful winter spent at Valley Forge—you’ll live it right alongside Washington. You’ll be on the boat with him crossing the Delaware, in the trenches with him at Yorktown, and standing next to him at the Constitutional Convention as a new republic is finally born.

Through these stories you’ll not only learn our real history (and how it applies to today), you’ll also see how the media and others have distorted our view of it. It’s ironic that the best-known fact about George Washington—that he chopped down a cherry tree—is a complete lie. It’s even more ironic when you consider that a lie was thought necessary to prove he could not tell one.

For all of his heroism and triumphs, Washington’s single greatest accomplishment was the man he created in the process: courageous and principled, fair and just, respectful to all. But he was also something else: flawed.

It’s those flaws that should give us hope for today. After all, if Washington had been perfect, then there would be no way to build another one. That’s why this book is not just about being George Washington in 1776, it’s about the struggle to be him every single day of our lives. Understanding the way he turned himself from an uneducated farmer into the Indispensable (yet imperfect) Man, is the only way to build a new generation of George Washingtons that can take on the extraordinary challenges that America is once again facing.

The Jefferson Lies: Exposing the Myths You've Always Believed About Thomas Jefferson

America, in so many ways, has forgotten. Its roots, its purpose, its identity―all have become shrouded behind a veil of political correctness bent on twisting the nation's founding, and its founders, to fit within a misshapen modern world.

The time has come to remember again.

In The Jefferson Lies, prominent historian David Barton sets out to correct the distorted image of a once-beloved founding father, Thomas Jefferson. To do so, Barton tackles seven myths head-on, including:

Did Thomas Jefferson really have a child by his young slave girl, Sally Hemings? Did he write his own Bible, excluding the parts of Christianity with which he disagreed? Was he a racist who opposed civil rights and equality for black Americans? Did he, in his pursuit of separation of church and state, advocate the secularizing public life?

Through Jefferson's own words and the eyewitness testimony of contemporaries, Barton repaints a portrait of the man from Monticello as a visionary, an innovator, a man who revered Jesus, a classical Renaissance man―and a man whose pioneering stand for liberty and God-given inalienable rights fostered a better world for this nation and its posterity. For America, the time to remember these truths again is now.

The Overton Window A plan to destroy America, a hundred years in the making, is about to be unleashed . . . can it be stopped?

There is a powerful technique called the Overton Window that can shape our lives, our laws, and our future. It works by manipulating public perception so that ideas previously thought of as radical begin to seem acceptable over time. Move the Window and you change the debate. Change the debate and you change the country.

For Noah Gardner, a twentysomething public relations executive, it's safe to say that political theory is the furthest thing from his mind. Smart, single, handsome, and insulated from the world's problems by the wealth and power of his father, Noah is far more concerned about the future of his social life than the future of his country.

But all of that changes when Noah meets Molly Ross, a woman who is consumed by the knowledge that the America we know is about to be lost forever. She and her group of patriots have vowed to remember the past and fight for the future--but Noah, convinced they're just misguided conspiracy-theorists, isn't interested in lending his considerable skills to their cause.

And then the world changes.

An unprecedented attack on U.S. soil shakes the country to the core and puts into motion a frightening plan, decades in the making, to transform America and demonize all those who stand in the way. Amidst the chaos, many don't know the difference between conspiracy theory and conspiracy fact--or, more important, which side to fight for.

But for Noah, the choice is clear: Exposing the plan, and revealing the conspirators behind it, is the only way to save both the woman he loves and the individual freedoms he once took for granted.

After five back-to-back #1 New York Times bestsellers, national radio and Fox News television host Glenn Beck has delivered a ripped-from-the-headlines thriller that seamlessly weaves together American history, frightening facts about our present condition, and a heart-stopping plot. The Overton Window will educate, enlighten, and, most important, entertain--with twists and revelations
no one will see coming.

Arguing with Idiots: How to Stop Small Minds and Big Government FUNNY.

FRIGHTENING.

TRUE.

It happens to all of us: You're minding your own business, when some idiot informs you that guns are evil, the Prius will save the planet, or the rich have to finally start paying their fair share of taxes.

Just go away! you think to yourself -- but they only become more obnoxious. Your heart rate quickens. You start to sweat. You can't get away. Your only hope is...

...this book.

Glenn Beck, author of the #1 New York Times bestsellers An Inconvenient Book and Glenn Beck's Common Sense, has stumbled upon the secret formula to winning arguments against people with big mouths but small minds: knowing the facts.

And this book is full of them.

The next time your Idiot Friends tell you how gun control prevents gun violence, you'll tell them all about England's handgun ban (see page 53). When they tell you that we should copy the UK's health-care system, you'll recount the horrifying facts you read on page 244. And the next time an idiot tells you that vegetable prices will skyrocket without illegal workers, you'll stop saying "no, they won't" and you'll start saying, "actually, eliminating all illegal labor will cause us to spend just $8 a year more on produce." (See page 139.)

Idiots can't be identified through voting records, they can be found only by looking for people who hide behind stereotypes, embrace partisanship, and believe that bumper sticker slogans are a substitute for common sense. If you know someone who fits the bill, then Arguing with Idiots will help you silence them once and for all with the ultimate weapon: the truth.

The Snow Angel The woman in the picture was so young she looked like a child. Her hair was loose, eyes wide, blue T-shirt stark against the pale lines of arching collarbones. I felt the air leave me in a quiet rush. Not because of the way the photo captured her fleeting youth, but because of the way it highlighted the bruise. It was a photo of me.Rachel Price has just one happy memory from her childhood: the moment her father took her hands while playing outside on a cold, snowy day and called her his angel. It was a rare and sacred moment in her young life, one in which she finally felt safe, loved, and protected. But it didn’t last long.Years later, Rachel’s daughter is the only light in what has become a dark life. Rachel repeats the patterns she learned as a child and exposes her own daughter to those same destructive behaviors. Consumed by an abusive marriage, but secure in the safety of the familiar, she is too afraid to escape.Rachel accepts what her life has become, even as she makes excuses for those who keep her in a constant state of despair and regret. But then, an unexpected phone call from an old friend changes everything. Her ordered world is turned upside down as she’s set on a journey that might be her last chance to salvage the life she’d given up on long ago. While new friendships tentatively blossom, Rachel realizes that everything she once believed may be nothing but lies and misunderstandings. But knowing the truth is not as easy as it seems. Sometimes ignorance truly is bliss. As the snow falls and the promise of Christmas redemption nears, Rachel begins to see her entire childhood in a brand-new light and must now decide what her future holds—and what her past really means. Will knowing the truth set her free, or will it condemn her to a life full of regret and “what ifs”?The Snow Angel is a poignant tale about family, forgiveness, and the freedom to live a future free of the past.

Glenn Beck's Common Sense: The Case Against an Out-of-Control Government, Inspired by Thomas Paine In any era, great Americans inspire us to reach our full potential. They know with conviction what they believe within themselves. They understand that all actions have consequences. And they find commonsense solutions to the nation’s problems. ?

One such American, Thomas Paine, was an ordinary man who changed the course of history by penning Common Sense, the concise 1776 masterpiece in which, through extraordinarily straightforward and indisputable arguments, he encouraged his fellow citizens to take control of America’s future—and, ultimately, her freedom.

Nearly two and a half centuries later, those very freedoms once again hang in the balance. And now, Glenn Beck revisits Paine’s powerful treatise with one purpose: to galvanize Americans to see past government’s easy solutions, two-party monopoly, and illogical methods and take back our great country.

Winners Never Cheat: Even in Difficult Times, New and Expanded Edition Author royalties from this book go to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation "The way Jon conducts his business and lives his life will not only inspire you to be a better person, citizen, and entrepreneur, it also will give you hope that the good guys don't finish last." Glenn Beck, CNN "Jon Huntsman is a different breed. He believes business is a creative endeavor, similar to a theater production, wherein integrity must be the central character." Larry King, CNN "Jon Huntsman's own life and personal values lend credence to his words. He walks his ethical talk." Neil Cavuto, Fox News "This book could put me out of business. Nobody would be happier about it than me." Wayne Reaud, Trial Attorney. The nationwide bestseller--fully updated for today's tough times and worldwide financial crises "Everyone does it." Everyone cheats. Cuts corners. Tells lies. Maybe it was different once. Not today. If you want to succeed in thiseconomic climate, you simply have to make compromises. Right? Wrong. You can succeed at the highest levels, without sacrificing the principles that make life worth living. The proof? You're holding it. Jon M.Huntsman built a $12 billion company from scratch, the old-fashioned way: with integrity. There were short-term costs and difficult decisions. There were tough times. Times just like today. But ultimately, leading with integrity wasn't just personally right for Huntsman, it also proved to be the best business strategy. In Winners Never Cheat, Huntsman tells you how he did it, and how you can, too. This book is about remembering why you work, and why you were chosen to lead. It's about finding the bravery to act on what you know is right, no matter what you're up against. It's about winning. The right way. Think about the kind of person you want to do business with. Then, be that person--and use this book to get you there.

Glenn Beck on Winners Never Cheat – Even in Difficult Times

The man who revolutionized the world by giving it the plastic spoon, fork, knife and Styrofoam take-out food container will once again change how you live your life. I can say that because that’s what happened to me after reading Jon Huntsman’s Winners Never Cheat.

In today’s world where it increasingly appears that we can’t trust our political or business leaders, this book is an unwavering reminder that traditional values never go out of style and are as essential today as they were forty years ago when Jon Huntsman launched a small chemical business that he grew into the world’s largest privately held chemical corporation. Jon Huntsman doesn’t like to be called a billionaire. He’s uncomfortable with that title. I’m convinced he also doesn’t like being one either because he’s committed to giving away his hard-earned fortune—not after he dies, but during his lifetime. I believe in this book’s message and its messenger. I have never in my life purchased any book by the case, except for this one. I give a copy to my friends who mistakenly believe that business can no longer be done with a look in the eye and a handshake. Many of the problems and much of the pain we’re currently experiencing on Wall Street and Washington could have been avoided if those we trusted with our money and our power lived what’s taught in these pages.

If you’re looking for success, read this book. If you’re wondering if you can be successful while staying true to your core principles, read this book. If you’re wondering, like so many are, if capitalism has a bright future, read this book. I have and it’s changed my life.

FROM THE FORWARD

"In today’s complicated world, it is sometimes hard to know what constitutes being an American. With freedom from attack from all sides and our political discourse resembling at times nothing more dignified than the tawdriest of daytime soap operas, it is sometime too easy to forget what the ideals of liberty as enshrined in our Constitution truly means.

This book was created to help us relearn all that is important about America and our Constitution, by reading the very words of those individuals who have collectively made our country great. Inside this volume you will find classic words by the original authors of the Federalist Papers, Alexander Hamilton, John Jay and James Madison.

You will also find patriotic writings by George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry and Abraham Lincoln, as well as more modern contributions by Ronald Reagan, and George Bush.

This volume also contains all the inaugural addresses of every single American president, as well as the complete Common Sense by Thomas Paine.

We hope that this small volume will help us remember and cherish our country and our Constitution for today and forever, so help us God."

Wrath & Righteousness THE WORLD IS ON THE BRINK.You must decide. Join us and we can show you a way to be king. Join us and we save you. But understand this: You will be joining a battle that goes far beyond what you see. You will be joining a battle that goes far beyond the simple struggle for power inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We have a much larger battle, a much greater war, a much longer vision and a much longer plan.

The forces of Darkness, actively seeking to destroy all that is good, have focused their efforts on Saudi Prince Abdullah al-Rahman, second in line to the Royal House of Saud. By tempting the Prince with the Saudi throne, and power beyond his wildest imagination, Lucifer and his servants hope to unleash Armageddon and bring down the United States.

Meanwhile, a select group of individuals—blessed by Providence and given a special mission—have set out to challenge Lucifer’s plan. As players on both sides of the battle are inexorably drawn together in a fight for eternity, a child is born who may have the power to change everything.

More than a simple techno-thriller, Wrath & Righteousness examines the eternal battle between Light and Darkness while also asking one of the fundamental questions of our existence: what is mankind’s relationship to the spiritual world? Packed with thrilling action and underscored by a story of war, love and spirituality, Wrath & Righteousness has been described by #1 bestselling author and talk show host Glenn Beck as “the Left Behind series for a new generation.”

Cowards COURAGE > COWARDS

As we approach the most important presidential election in America’s history, something has been lost among all of the debates, attack ads, and super- PACs—something that Americans used to hold in very high regard: THE TRUTH.

Glenn Beck likes to say that “the truth has no agenda”—but there’s another side to that: people who have agendas rarely care about the truth. And, these days, it seems like everyone has an agenda. The media leads with stories that rate over those that matter. Politicians put lobbyists and electability over honesty. Radicals alter history in order to change the future.

In Cowards, Glenn Beck exposes the truth about thirteen important issues that have been hijacked by deceit. Whether out of spite, greed, or fear, these are the things that no one seems to be willing to have an honest conversation about. For example:

* How our two-party POLITICAL SYSTEM often leaves voters with NO GOOD OPTIONS.

* How extremists are slowly integrating ISLAMIC LAW into our SOCIETY.

* How PROGRESSIVE “religious” leaders like JIM WALLIS are politicizing the Bible.

* How the CARTEL VIOLENCE on our border is FAR WORSE than people realize.

* How “LIBERTARIAN” has been INTENTIONALLY turned into a DIRTY WORD.

* How GEORGE SOROS has amassed enough MONEY and POWER to INFLUENCE entire ECONOMIES.

In some cases, the truth is out there, but people simply don’t want to hear it. It’s much easier, and certainly a lot more convenient, to keep our blinders on. After all, as a quote attributed to President James Garfield made clear, “The truth will set you free, but first it will make you miserable.”

Miserable or not, the truth can no longer be something we hope for; it must be something we live. When courage prevails, cowards do not—and this book was written to ensure that’s exactly what happens.

Common Sense ($.99 Patriot Classics - Complete Original Text) Read the original, full-length political pamphlet that inspired Glenn Beck to write Common Sense!

'Common Sense is a pamphlet written by Thomas Paine. It was first published anonymously on January 10, 1776, during the American Revolution. Common Sense was signed "Written by an Englishman", and the pamphlet became an immediate success. In relation to the population of the Colonies at that time, it had the largest sale and circulation of any book in American history. Common Sense presented the American colonists with a powerful argument for independence from British rule at a time when the question of independence was still undecided. Paine wrote and reasoned in a style that common people understood; forgoing the philosophy and Latin references used by Enlightenment era writers, Paine structured Common Sense like a sermon and relied on Biblical references to make his case to the people. Historian Gordon S. Wood described Common Sense as, “the most incendiary and popular pamphlet of the entire revolutionary era.”' -- Wikipedia

Common Nonsense: Glenn Beck and the Triumph of Ignorance Who is this guy and why are people listening?

Forget Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, and Sean Hannity—Glenn Beck is the Right’s new media darling and the unofficial leader of the conservative grassroots. Lampooned by the Left and Lionized by the far Right, his bluster-and-tears brand of political commentary has commandeered attention on both sides of the aisle.

Glenn Beck has emerged over the last decade as a unique and bizarre conservative icon for the new century. He encourages his listeners to embrace a cynical paranoia that slides easily into a fantasyland filled with enemies that do not exist and solutions that are incoherent, at best. Since the election of President Barack Obama, Beck’s bombastic, conspiratorial, and often viciously personal approach to political combat has made him one of the most controversial figures in the history of American broadcasting.

In Common Nonsense, investigative reporter Alexander Zaitchik explores Beck's strange brew of ratings lust, boundless ego, conspiratorial hard-right politics, and gimmicky morning-radio entertainment chops.

Separates the facts from the fiction, following Beck from his troubled childhood to his recent rise to the top of the conservative media heap Zaitchik's recent three-part series in Salon caused so much buzz, Beck felt the need to attack it on his show Based on Zaitchik's interviews with former Beck coworkers and review of countless Beck writings and television and radio shows Explains why Beck is always crying, why he has so many conservative enemies, why he's driven by conspiracy theories, and why he's dangerous to the health of the republicA contributing writer to Alternet, Zaitchik's reporting has appeared in the New Republic, the Nation, Salon, Wired, Reason, and the Believer

Beck, a perverse and high-impact media spectacle, has emerged as a leader in a conservative protest movement that raises troubling questions about the future of American politics.

The Snow Angel Adapted from the newest Glenn Beck release, Snow Angel is the story of two siblings, who yearn for new toys and a fun vacation, but their parents are struggling and cannot give them what they want. Though their disappointment is obvious, their grandmother tells them the story of a young girl whose family also went through hard times. Before her father has to leave to find work, he makes a snow angel, telling his little girl that no matter where he is, there will always be an angel looking out for her and her mother, helping the brother and sister realize the true meaning of family.

Tears of a Clown: Glenn Beck and the Tea Bagging of America Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank takes a fair and balanced look at the unsettling rise of the silly Fox News host Glenn Beck.

Thomas Jefferson famously wrote that “the tree of Liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.” In America in 2010, Glenn Beck provides the very refreshment Jefferson had in mind: Whether he’s the patriot or the tyrant, he’s definitely full of manure.

The wildly popular Fox News host with three million daily viewers perfectly captures the vitriol of our time and the fact-free state of our political culture. The secret to his success is his willingness to traffic in the fringe conspiracies and Internet hearsay that others wouldn’t touch with a ten-foot pole: death panels, government health insurance for dogs, FEMA concentration camps, an Obama security force like Hitler’s SS.

But Beck, who is, according to a recent Gallup poll, admired by more Americans than the Pope, has nothing in his background that identifies him as an ideologue, giving rise to the speculation that his right-wing shtick is just that—the act of a brilliant showman, known for both his over-the-top daily outrages and for weeping on the air.

Milbank describes, with lacerating wit, just how the former shock jock without a college degree has managed to become the most recognizable leader of antigovernment conservatives and exposes him as the guy who is single-handedly giving patriotism a bad name.

Idiots Unplugged ONLY ON AUDIO! Glenn Beck Takes On His Idiot Friend--Live, on the Radio

We've all been in those mind-numbing, stomach-churning, sleep-inducing conversations with people whose brains seem to be smaller than their mouths. They're always endlessly long, painfully agonizing and hopelessly futile.

Glenn Beck, host of a nationally syndicated radio program and a television show on Fox News and the #1 bestselling author of Arguing with Idiots, Common Sense, and The Christmas Sweater, finds himself in those debates all the time--and now you can hear how he wins them every time.

As millions of listeners have heard, Glenn's arguments with his Idiot Friend live on the air have provided some of the funniest and most insightful moments on The Glenn Beck Program. Now, in the bestselling tradition of America’s March to Socialism, Glenn collects his most memorable on-air dimwit debates in Idiots Unplugged, an original audio program unavailable in any other format.

Glenn's use of facts and reason to silence his Idiot Friend (played to know-nothing perfection by series regular Pat Gray) has become a popular highlight of his broadcasts. Offering the best of these exchanges, Idiots Unplugged features Glenn's winning arguments on everything from taxes to global warming to education to why Lindsey Graham is a big problem for the Republican party. After listening, you'll never again worry about cocktail parties in Manhattan, date-nights in San Francisco, or sending your daughter off to Berkeley for college.

A collection of radio segments that are both timely and classic, Idiots Unplugged is a reminder of why no other broadcaster makes the truth as convincing and entertaining as Glenn Beck.

The Christmas Sweater

If You Could Change Your Life by Reversing Your Biggest Regrets, Sorrows and Mistakes...Would You?

#1 New York Times bestselling author and renowned radio and television host Glenn Beck delivers an instant holiday classic about boyhood memories, wrenching life lessons, and the true meaning of the gifts we give to one another in love.

We weren't wealthy, we weren't poor -- we just were. We never wanted for anything, except maybe more time together....

When Eddie was twelve years old, all he wanted for Christmas was a bike. Although his life had gotten harder -- and money tighter -- since his father died and the family bakery closed...Eddie dreamed that somehow his mother would find a way to have his dream bike gleaming beside their modest Christmas tree that magical morning.

What he got from her instead was a sweater. "A stupid, handmade, ugly sweater" that young Eddie left in a crumpled ball in the corner of his room.

Scarred deeply by the realization that kids don't always get what they want, and too young to understand that he already owned life's most valuable treasures, that Christmas morning was the beginning of Eddie's dark and painful journey on the road to manhood. It will take wrestling with himself, his faith, and his family -- and the guidance of a mysterious neighbor named Russell -- to help Eddie find his path through the storm clouds of life and finally see the real significance of that simple gift his mother had crafted by hand with love in her heart.

Based on a deeply personal true story, The Christmas Sweater is a warm and poignant tale of family, faith and forgiveness that offers us a glimpse of our own lives -- while also making us question if we really know what's most important in them.

Debunking Glenn Beck: How to Save America from Media Pundits and Propagandists

Debunking Glenn Beck: How to Save America from Media Pundits and Propagandists was written in response to Beck's Arguing with Idiots. Its most immediate concern is with exploring the agenda behind Beck's arguments and exposing the flaws in his reasoning. But this book's real mission is something much broader. Using Beck as an example, author Karl Rogers also shows why media reform is so vital to the future of democracy.

To make that case, Dr. Rogers offers a detailed discussion of the ideas and ideology at work in Beck's arguments, revealing how the well-known conservative pundit has distorted and twisted facts to misrepresent American history, the meaning of progressivism, and even the U.S. Constitution. The book examines topics ranging from the Second Amendment to health care, education, housing, the Supreme Court, unions, democracy, and government. It concludes by explaining how Americans can revitalize the Constitution as a living document and, by doing so, revitalize public debate and democracy itself.

The Biography of Glenn Beck Glenn Beck (born February 10, 1964, Mount Vernon, Washington, U.S.) is an American conservative political commentator and television and radio personality, perhaps best known for hosting the talk show Glenn Beck (2009–11) on the Fox News Channel. He is the current host of a talk-radio show, “The Glenn Beck Program”, which is now on four hundred stations across the country. He is also the author of numerous bestselling books. Beck has created one of the most controversial and lucrative media brands in the talk show business.

Beck rose to being a nationally syndicated television and radio host due to his knack for creating controversy. His radio program reached No. 1 following his coverage of the highly disputed Presidential election of 2000. After a brief stint on CNN, Beck began his television program on Fox News, where he continued to embrace the Tea Party movement. Following the inauguration of President Barack Obama, Beck became one of America’s most important conservative commentators, becoming the voice for the modern mainstream conservatives. Evidence of his wide-ranging influence can be found in his battle against the liberal political organization ACORN and the success of his advocacy program, the 9-12 Project.

This is meant to be a short and concentrated read about Glenn Beck.

Who's Afraid of Frances Fox Piven?: The Essential Writings of the Professor Glenn Beck Loves to Hate
The sociologist and political scientist Frances Fox Piven and her late husband Richard Cloward have been famously credited by Glenn Beck with devising the “Cloward/Piven Strategy,” a world view responsible, according to Beck, for everything from creating a “culture of poverty” and fomenting “violent revolution” to causing global warming and the recent financial crisis. Called an “enemy of the people,” over the past year Piven has been subjected to an unprecedented campaign of hatred and disinformation, spearheaded by Beck.

How is it that a distinguished university professor, past president of the American Sociological Association, and recipient of numerous awards and accolades for her work on behalf of the poor and for American voting rights, has attracted so much negative attention? For anyone who is skeptical of the World According to Beck, here is a guide to the ideas that Glenn fears most.

Who’s Afraid of Frances Fox Piven? is a concise, accessible introduction to Piven’s actual thinking (versus Beck’s outrageous claims), from her early work on welfare rights and “poor people’s movements,” written with her late husband Richard Cloward, through her influential examination of American voting habits, and her most recent work on the possibilities for a new movement for progressive reform. A major corrective to right-wing bombast, this essential book is also a rich source of ideas and inspiration for anyone interested in progressive change.
